I have always been interested in drawing and painting and since moving here on my retirement I have found myself with more time to paint but also with opportunities to exhibit and sell my paintings. I am self taught and paint in watercolours and acrylics, with subjects ranging from Highland landscapes and seascapes to studies of Venetian and Parisian scenes, as well as wildlife, buildings, people and pet portraits. I have work in a gallery and in a local cafe, and hold an annual joint exhibition at Plockton, and Balmacara as well as regularly entering shows at Lochalsh, Strathpeffer and Nairn. I also take commissions. An interesting development in the last year or two was to be invited to have my work represented by a gallery in Camden, Maine, U.S.A. after the gallery owner had seen my paintings on social media.
